Do the Yeti Do the Yeti
This is the new Locomotion. This is the new Macarena. This is the Yeti.
Bo Diddley Meets the Martians Bo Diddley Meets the Martians
A song with that famous Bo Diddley beat. Pat wrote this one, and Matt is on vocals. Is this the first song ever written about Bo Diddley bringing rock to aliens?
A Pepsi, Two Twinkies, and Love on Six A Pepsi, Two Twinkies, and Love on Six
Another catchy little number from Pat. It also has a cool and creative solo. This song might get stuck in your head. But we are pleased with how it came out, so that should be a good thing.

Karate Explosion! is our name. We like to rock and do so in a variety of ways, from catchy straightforward (but with a unique flair of originality) rock songs to instrumental rock songs to the occasional wierd, undefinable song.

A Los Angeles based band with no members from LA. Steve and Matt are from San Diego and have been sworn enemies since high school. Pat is from Denver. We all go to Loyola Marymount University and love music. We decided to form a band and record a few songs. It was a lot of fun and we like the results so we kept going.Have you performed in front of an audience? We haven't played any shows yet, but we are planning to start very soon.
Your musical influences
We love all things rock, and more. We have straightforward, catchy rock rongs, unique instrumentals, and the occaisonal out there, wierd sounding songs. What equipment do you use?
To be very general, an apartment, laptop, and various musical instruments. Live, Pat will play lead guitar, Matt will do the majority of the singing (and the occaisonal sax), and Steve will probably switch between bass and rythm guitar. And of course, Steve's laptop will be there to supply the drum beats (no disrespect to drummers, we know you can't duplicate real live drumming, but we have to make due with what we have). And while Pat may be a great musician, he can't play guitar and keyboard at the same time, so the laptop will probably supply some keyboard parts too.

We performed a few weeks ago on LMU TV (or I guess it's called the Roar Network now) on Live from LMU Sort Of. Here's the link to a video of the performance. The quality is low because I had to make the file small enough to upload (and I don't know why the picture is stretched), but it's decent. Here's the link:

I'll fight any man to the death.
Hey I love you guys but I want more music! And why the donuts hasn't Pat posted on here? He's the cute one...or is that Steve? Maybe Matt...
New songs added!!! We also re-recorded the vocals for The Goon, and completely re-did Donna. Added Rock!!! and New Wave Girl. And our album, Punch the Monkey Button, is pretty much done, the whole thing is in tracklist order (Steve Buscemi through Rock!!!) except fot the aformentioned cover song I mantioned awhile ago that we can't upload to this site. New Wave Girl will be on our second album.
