Kaonashi formed early in early 2003 with the original name of Highview. Guitarists Owen and Terry joined up with Dan on the drums. A few months later Beth was enrolled as vocalist. However, it wasn't until late November, when James joined the group playing bass, that practises became slightly more focussed and songs started to emerge. In early 2005 Owen left the band, but the other four members stuck together. Over the past year of Gigging The Nash have played with such bands as cosmic carrot, s.o.o.n, Dyslexic 7, Charlie brown, the confidentials. All of these bands are great in their own way and are a quality bunch of people. After slapping out a beautiful e.p The nash took on Permission to rock in co-operation with the ips-art festival and showed the crowd an excelent night. The nash are still going strong and check out www.myspace.com/kaonashifelixstowe to see where and when they are next gigging.Have you performed in front of an audience?We mainley play live. We try to avoid pubs, because thats more of a cover bands scene. We always have an amazing time, like Permission to rock in Ipswich for example. It was an amazing night, and the crowd loved it.
Your musical influences
This box could be hugely filled. That i am aware of; Deftones, Limp bizkit, Rage against the machine, Mudvayne, Auf der maur, Distillers. We all like a wide variety of differant bands abd genres.What equipment do you use?
The bassist and guitarst use ibanez instruiments. 5 & 7 strings in standard and 4 & 6 in standard. Bassist uses a trace elliot combo amp, the guitarist uses a marshall combo with effects like wammy, psycho flange, wah, digital delay and a heavy distortion. The drummer has a yammaha kit with zildjian symblas and two bass drums. Vocals will be going through a p.a soon but we haven't boughht a mixing desk yet....I think thats it.
