... Been doin my thing going in the hiphop genre goin on 7 years now. I've been reading music and studying the theory since i was 6 years old and i've been collecting old equipment for the past 5 years. I do this everyday, all the time. Most of the beats on this site are "grooves" and are unfinished. I'll usually post a project and update it as I go. They are made for a purpose- MC, Film Score, Dance Track, Battle Record, etc...
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Not much of a band history, considering i'm a single musician/producer. Basically I learned to play trumpet and read music when I was six. My sister was a singer and when I reached the age of 7 my mother had us two singing on stage in plays and showtunes at extended care facilities all over the Anne Arundel County Area. I was givin my first guitar and lessons around the age of 10 and i've had 4 different teachers. My mother has played piano since she was four and so I decided to take a class in my 9th grade year in high school. When I was 14 I saved up and bought a pair of turntables from a friend of mine down the street. I've been spinning house parties ever since and scratching on my own tracks. At one point in time it didn't seem like anything would ever mix together. I could play my guitar but how was I going to record it? I could barely scratch and mix but wtf? These pro's made it sound so easy. My guitar teacher and most favored mentor had me stick with everything and promised me that one day it would all mix. 6 years later he couldn't be more right!
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I've had live projects and mix sets though they have all been local and in the near future I plan on gigging in Baltimore, Annapolis, and DC.
