Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
The 10-piece Kaffe is a maelstrom of moods and melodies. We invert and twist conventions and perceptions into a mocha-like swirl. As Erik Satie has said, "Notez que je fais toute ma musique moi-même, tous les dièses, tous les bémols, etc."
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
If we get invited to play in Germany, we'll do a live show.
Your musical influences
Reg is into bop. For Art, it's the blues or nothing. Mary lives for the classics. Sue is into everything! Beddy-Jane has a fondness for Art Tatum. Dick and Frank are bangers, Larry is down with hip hop, Skunk has a thing for metal and Jeff is into neo-progressive lounge funk.
What equipment do you use?
We have loads of gear and moving it around is dashed hard work but we won't bore you with further details.
