Patrick Jones was born in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, and relocated to the DMV area when he was 10. Jones was raised by his parents whom immigrated to America from Jamaica. From a young age, Jones was heavily influenced by music; he began playing the drums at age 2, and was participated in church worship services by age 5. As Jones grew older and matured, his fascination with music continued to grow; eventually, learning how to play the trumpet, French horn, piano, and the baritone. Also, Jones was interested in singing; performing in several local talent searches. He also had the opportunity to perform in front of the former governor of Maryland, Parris N. Glendening. The culture of hip hop began to intrigue Jones by the time middle school began, finding himself listening to Eminem, Rakim, Biggie, and Tupac. Keeping an eclectic interest in different genres, Jones also listened to a wider variety of music: ranging from classical to rock. Quick on his feet, Jones picked up the art of rapping from hearing others freestyle battle in the locker rooms before gym class. After only two weeks of practice at home, Jones enters his fist freestyle battle and wins. Even to this day, he continues battling new opponents at different times and different places, and continues to win. As he entered high school he began to shift focus away from battling other rappers to crafting songs and producing instrumentals. Meanwhile, Jones also began to take interest in the behind the scenes aspects of the rap industry; learning how to mix and edit his own songs and instrumentals. After several years of practice crafting and honing his unique sound, Jones made a splash on the scene his first year in college. He produced and released the Freshman Anthem of c/o 2013 Freshman Affair, as well as producing and releasing a full album written produced and mixed by him. Jones is currently working on his next album, so stay tuned!
