We are a very new band and have only been playing together for about 1 to 2 months.
I met our drummer Martin Holloway a few years ago. We did a lot of accoustic stuff together for a while (me on 12 string or guitar, and Martin on bongos) even did some cool live radio slots on the BBC. In fact...the presenters on BBC radio thought we were joking when we said we weren't signed and werent there to promote an album.
Anyway...one gig, we met a guy called Ben in the bar afterwards. Ben said he loved our stuff...and played bass...and wanted to join our band.
Well...Ben could talk the talk..but we wanted to see if he could also walk the walk.
We met up a few days later for our first jam.
Ben could walk the walk.
In fact...he walked the walk so well...we said right there and then "you are in!".
The rest is history.
I love our band...because I respect the other two members Martin and Ben, as great musicians and players in their own right. Theyre also really cool people...and we all listen to each other, rather than try to go off on a biiiig ego trip! :-)Have you performed in front of an audience?Yes...we play live. We rock!!!! We play all over the place, mostly in London and the UK...but we hope to make it big and come and rock out in the US too...in the not too distant future. We love playing live more than anything...and there have been way too special moments to list. That said, if you are the cute blond girl I met at our last gig, then I think you left some belongings at my house...and I forgot to get your number...so please get back in touch :-)
Your musical influences
So many influences, these are just mine (Justin's) but I know Martin and Ben have many more: Bob Dylan, The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Motown, Elvis, The Cream, Pink Floyd, James Brown, Blue Note Jazz, The Rolling Stones, Bob Marley...and many many many many more.What equipment do you use?
Although were not a techno/electronica band, we do use the odd gizmo here and there...and for recording we sometimes use ProTools.Anything else?
Just remember that its a big ol world out there, with many diffrent people and lots of room for all kinds of styles. There's enough room for them all, so you can take us or leave us. We're not gonna ram our music down your throat...but if you like it...then it was all worth while...and please let us know.Wow...that song is so catchy.
