Just De

I am a small town girl form North Florida, trying to make it to Nashville. I have been singing my whole life but playing the guitar only three years, but I picked it up pretty fast. I come from a very large musical family and my father has a band. I write and compose my own music and try to relate to every one with my songs. I am married to a wonderful and supportive husband and have two children, who keep me pretty busy most of the time.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Not really any history, I started out singing with my dad and his band, occasionaly I still hang out with them and sit in a few songs, but mostly I want to do it on my own.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I try to play live as often as I can, right now I have a gig singing in Branford Florida for thier annual Fourth of July celebration.
Your musical influences
WOW....give me few minutes here....Patsy Cline, Emmilou Harris, Loretta Lynn, The Cherryholmes Fmaily, Rhonda Vincent, and of course the late, great, Bill Monroe. I tend to lean more toward Bluegrass and country, I like the newer stuff, don't get me wrong but the older stuff really speaks to me.
What equipment do you use?
I have two box guitars, A Takamine my husband bought me and an off brand with a pick up that my parents bought me(surprisingly a good, sounding guitar.I also have a Fender AMP. My hubby recently bought me a Martin DCX1KE accoustic w/pick up.....it is AWESOME!!!.....and.....that is it lol!!
