has been turning heads, bending ears and blowing minds with slew of shows in and around their native Seattle, as well as airplay on a variety of college, internet and underground radio stations. Encouraged by the buzz, the band wasted no time in recording their first full-length CD at Seattle's legendary in 2006. A touch more punk-rock and less brit-pop than its predecessor, "The Skin Before the Art" is evidence of the band's versatility and staying-power in a fickle and ever-changing musical climate.
Lyrically dark on the surface, each track upon closer listen is laced with insight and hope. Frontman Steven Parsons delivers his impassioned vocals with a throaty depth that calls to mind the uniqueness of such instantly recognizable vocalists as Michael Stipe, Ian Astbury, and Justin Sullivan. Combined with the fierce and flawless rhythm provided by Bill Morgen on bass and T on the drums -- it's not surprising comparisons have been drawn to such acts as Killing Joke, Lords of the New Church, The Cult and even The Smiths -- but the Jupiter Crash boys ultimately offer up their self-proclaimed 'Good Time Devil Music' in a valiant style all their own.
With the recent addition of dark rock prodigy Lee Tillman on guitar and the release of "The Skin Before the Art" through , Jupiter Crash is looking forward to an eventful and revolutionary 2007!
Yes - It's the best way to hear this band! We'll play pretty much anywhere that will have us. Do we like it? Individually... not always. But as a band, hell yes. Our most "special" moment in recent memory was having Lee Tillman join the band.
Black Sabbath to Joy Division... The Cult to Queens of the Stone Age.
We'll use whatever we can get for free ;) (wink wink, endorsements anyone?)

I love your sound: its real, not 'gimmicky'; hard with an edge. The music reminds me of Social Distortion.
