Original Roots Rock Reggae
Junia Walker started in music as a Sound System operator in his teens, playing mostly bank parties while working at Barclays Bank. Hooked up with Reggae producer Keith Hudson and started co-producing at 127 King St upstairs while Wailers Tuff Gong record store was downstairs notable releases from that collaboration are Pick-a-Dub and Rasta Communication. I later started Jusic International my own label which apart from releasing my own performances also release other artistes usually my own discoveries.
We have been recording mainly Roots and Reality music since the 80's relies mainly on inspiration and never follows the crowd no matter the mass appeal, we also try not to stray from what the pioneers of the genre have set.
At the moment we are concentrating on mainly studio recording, mainly recording artiste.
My musical influence is very wide and starts with most everthing that happened at Motown, Sam Cooke, Nat King Cole,The Impressions, The Drifters,Jerry Butler, James Brown, Aretha Franklin, Donny Hathaway, Roberta Flack,The Wailers, The Paragons, Toots and The Maytals, Dennis Brown, Third World, Ken Boothe,Alton Ellis, U-Roy, Horace Andy.
