I come from a musical and arty family. When i was younger i played the piano and violin. I used to be in drama and musical productions when i was younger with my sister and we had a lot of fun. Looking back i think i was taught in some way that getting a bigger part or lead vocal was better than not ( though now i know this is not neccissarily true ) and because i was shy then i didn't always get good parts, part of this probably made me determined that later in life i was going to suceed ! When i was 16 i bought my first acoustic guitar and had afew lessons i practiced alot and started writing my own songs too. I felt my voice was heard much louder through song ! I moved to Brighton at 16 and went to BIMM, i more or less started gigging straight away ( it was crasy, one of my first gigs was with Nemo Jones from Faithless ) I studied music and songwriting for a couple of years and wrote a song called ' Peace of Mind' which is still now for sale ( proceeds going to charity ) via itunes. I also signed a distribution deal with Love your tunes ( whom now don't exist ) ! Though my songs can still be found on various places over the internet. Now a days i take a much more private and relaxed approach to music ( also a more professional as i am a member of PRS , Performing Rights Society ) and although singing and songwriting is inportant to me it is not the most inportant thing. I aim to continue singing and songwriting and write radio jingles and one day release my album and also become an accredited songwriter for others.

I am really enjoying soul music like Indie Arie and Angie stone and some country like Johnny cash at the moment, but i have always been a fan rock power bands like Muse Radiohead and more recently Paramore. For me it's always about the song and how it is delievered.
