Julian Kelly
Julian Kelly, best known as one of the foremost emerging artists of her time began her career at the age of three doing fashion shows for Avon. She later appeared on " The Kinderman Show" and signed with Jazz Street Station to record " Fox in the Mirror" at age 12. From there Julian has made numerous TV and FILM appeareances ( including a starring role in Feature Film " The Devil's Courthouse") as well as over 1,000 stage performances, and national tours. She will be most recently seen starring as Effie White in ArtsCentric's performance of " Dreamgirls", a performance to Benefit inner City Education.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Julian was born in Baltimore Maryland. She has toured and lived all over the nation, in places from Cincinnati, New York City, to South Carolina.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Julian has given thousands of live performances in touring musicals, as well as with her own musical. Her self titled Album will debut in July 2007.
Your musical influences
"I have so many musical influences.Tracy Chapman, Whitney Housten, Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, Sasha Allen, Peggy Taphorn, Billie Holliday, Jennifer Holliday, Stevie Wonder, Shayna Steele, Ray Charles, BB King. Every artist has something unique to them that I have enjoyed and used as a springboard to find my own style."
