I love God and music and musicians (in that order). This is not an exhaustive list of what I love.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
My first musical instrument was purchased in 1961. It is a Martin 00-28GL guitar which I am still fond of playing. Until recently I used my guitars mostly to accompany my singing. Now I am learning to play solos on the guitar. My mamdolin playing is very rudimentary and mostly selftaught. I am mostly selftaught on all of the instruments which I play; but I have taken about two dozen guitar lessons in recent years mostly.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Yes, I play live. I play in church and other places (mostly retirement homes and/or nursing homes.) I love to perform live. When I perform live, all moments are special to me.
Your musical influences
Expect anything--I am eclectic and have many composers and/or artists who have influenced my musical tastes, especially the Classical composers--I am particularly fond of Brahms, Beethoven, Bach, Mozart, Berlioz, and later composers of a more modern sound. I believe that every composer/artist owes an inestimable debt to all of his favorite artists and composers, and I have listened to a lot of music of all kinds from all over our world.
What equipment do you use?
A Korg Triton proX keyboard/workstation is in my inventory of equipment--along with six guitars and a mandolin.
Anything else?
As Ray Stevens so aptly wrote it, "Everything Is Beautiful In Its Own Way." Listen to the song so that you won't misunderstand this statement.
