JT and the Blame are a two piece rock band from Spartanburg/Greenville, South Carolina, USA. Josh Trotter pounds the drums and Randall Huggins accepts the Blame for bass blunders.
We started out as a three piece but our other bass player dropped out. We looked for a replacement for over a year before we decided to go at it as a two piece.
Now it's back to square one, writing new songs and trying to salvage some of the old tunes. The recording(s) here are rough demos done with a four track in the tiny room in picture. There's also a few live recordings out there somewhere but we haven't managed to get our hands on them.
We are scheduled to record an EP at the end of May.Band/artist history
Our history is in the future?Have you performed in front of an audience? We only have a couple-six shows under our belt but are now looking to go where ever the door opens.
Your musical influences
Alice Donut, Nomeansno, Fugazi, Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, Sebadoh, the Who, Merle Travis, the earlier ZZ Top and the Benny Goodman Quartet.
The seven deadly sins are a more honest influence on the songwriting. They're such fun. I'm sure going to miss them when I'm dead.Anything else?
We're happy to be playing. Check us out if you get the chance.
Have a good one,
Randalli dig the tunes man. still havent seen you guys live yet. looking forward to sat. 19th.Waho you sure have some energy.
Of the 4 songs I've heard (Phantom,Chicken,Walker and Feuding) I prefer Phantom.
Some Indie bands playing fast raging creative stuff tend to be just messy and noisy, but even if your recording is not good I can actually hear and understand most of what's happening so imho you're playing ok!
I like the twangy noisy guitar sound, don't buy a better equipment please keep this garage sound! :)
The drums are perhaps too active, but this compensate for the lack of bass. Dunno if this will be still ok when you'll find a bassist, but perhaps you like them as they are.
The song short length are ok and I wouldn't add or remove anything in the structure.
You have some good indie songs, get a bassist and better recording conditions and re-record the demos. Just my amateur opinion. Good luck with your stuff! :)
I like the stuff I heard. Keep the creativity going.
