JSMDFAQ is a small three member band that has been around since 2000. We're an experimental comedy group, Based over a long distance relationship between our members.Band/artist history
JSMDFAQ has a strange history.
The original 'band' was simply a single person, Eliot, who was staying up a little later than he should of and began recording vocal tracks for a somewhat absent musical score.
Well one thing lead to the next and Nick, one of the current band members, jumped in and decided to help eliot make a cd full of hilarious and childish music.
Nick moved further south and eliot suddenly had to travel by plane in order to record, so that wasn't working out for him. The band broke up and a heated feud between Nick and Eliot began.
One day at the airport, when Eliot was leaving a session, Nick provoked a fist fight and Eliot had to vigorously strike back. Another man, unknown to the fighters, named Nate romped up and quickly broke up the fight. Somehow, Nate recognized the fighters as JSMDFAQ and quickly introduced himself.
Moving right along, Nate is now a part of the band and a good friend of Nick's. Nate is currently a vocalist for the band, alongside Nick.
But soon, things were about to change. Danny and Henri were two regular guys, a drummer and a vocalist. They had every intention of joining a band but they didn't have the motive to start one. One day when Nick and Nate were causing a ruckus in a computer store, where the manager had to come and ask them to leave.
As they were leaving, Nick violently yelled, "We'll just write a song about you and THEN you'll be sorry!" and the manager quickly asked if they were in a band.
Turns out, that manager was Danny and JSMDFAQ was in need of a real drummer.
Although Danny's lyrics can be heard on Failure, his best work is on the upcoming album which is currently not titled. Henri's work is not on Failure, but will be on the upcoming album.Your musical influences
Although JSMDFAQ is currently mostly electronic, our upcoming cd is more traditional in terms of a band. The whole idea of our Failure album was to be heavy with synths. There was no major musical influence for JSMDFAQ, we simply came to be. It's like a car accident, or a cloning mishap. No no, it's more like those mishapen donuts that are supposed to have a hole but kind of don't.What equipment do you use?
That requires Omega clearance. In fact, there's too much to list.Anything else?
If you're interested, Our cd's can be purchased at www.mp3.com/jsmdfaq.
We're looking into producing the cd's ourselves though, and if you help us get popular enough we'll start a mail order service for the our upcoming cd.All comments (2)
