I'm JR Jones, member and producer for Slim & Jones. I'm born and raised in Louisville, KY and I'm trying to make the impossible come true by being the only artist out of Louisville to break into the industry and have longevity.

I've been rapping for 10 yrs. (only the past 4 on any significant level) and producing for 3 yrs.  I'm out to bring a new sound and vibe into the industry and take Hip-Hop/Rap to another level.  I'm not a commercial artist that makes up his own dance and I don't hide behind gimmicks.  I make music based on how I feel and what I know...something to dance to, something to vibe to, something to rock out with, and something to take you where you never thought rap could go.

Have you performed in front of an audience?

Not yet, but soon hopefully. There are NO good promoters around Louisville, so it's pretty hard to get booking unless you paid-up and know the right folk.

Your musical influences

I get my influence and inspiration for rap music everywhere else but rap.  My main source of inspiration comes from movie scores and video games.  I think that music should strike a nerve and trigger emotions...the music speaks for itself without lyrics.

FL Studio 6, Sony Vegas 5
