From the sunny southeast side of the FLA, its the young phenom JRipp. A rap artist/producer extremely talented yet humble and down to earth. Trying to initiate a Underground network in Fort Lauderdale. Bring a style of rap that is part street, part concious, part crunk, you can't put him in a box, J will RIPP right through. Its all about the music! JRipp brings to the table the very essence of reality in an entertaining way. Being that he is fun yet still street, he makes the type of music that a die hard hip-hop fan and casual listener can enjoy. Coming from the South-East corner of the States, JRipp resides in South Florida, the land of sunshine. Born and raised in the Fort Lauderdale RIPP was influenced by Earth Wind and Fire, The Isley Brothers, and later on Tupac. Blessed with incredible skill in production and fast or slow rapping ability, RIPP is the Total package. Nearly all of his tracks were produce by himself from the 808 drum to the lyrics. Ripp makes at least three beats and one song per day. He is now studying the technical side of music to get the mixing and mastering as professional as possible. The RIPPER is looking to network with anybody in the entertainment industry that is bout their buisness. He is ready to work with rappers, singers, models, and anybody that is feeling the flavoristic style of music he brings. PRODUCTION: JRipp has only been making beats and producing other artists since 04 but has excel at incredible leaps and bounds. "I was hearin music in my head since I was a git (little kid) and now I've been blessed with the opportunity to actually make some hot shit with what I had floatin round in my head!" Indeed! LYRICS: RIIPP's brand of music is unique yet familar being influenced by industry heavyweights from each section of the united states. "I was influenced by Tupac and dudes like E-40, Mystikal, Trick Daddy, Snoop, Bone Thugs.....I created my style based on having fun and just keep it real and entertaining." says RIPP, who writes everyday. "My style is just to not limit myself to one style, I go where the beat takes me, so my style depends on the music I'm hearin. I must live up to name and RIPP it on every verse, All the Time!!" CREW: "Each one of my homeboys got they own studio after years of grindin of course. My organization is called I.T.L. which stands for Individual True Leaders, which was started by Shawn the Don because our clique consist of other cliques and crews we always let it be known that there aint no one person above the clique." MONEY MOUTH PRODUCTIONS: "Money Mouth is my production company that I'm starting up. I'm just in the beginning stages right now, but I'm on da grind to try and get this off the ground. I plan to do 'tailor made music production' which is when I just sit down with the artist and get a vibe from them and make the music around that vibe or lyrics that the artist bring to the table, its gon be off. Its gon be on point like an index finger maan!" GOALS: "My goal is to get my music to the masses and hopefully make money off thing I love to do most. I also just want to be able to bring the type of music most everybody can appreciate. I also do a little acting, my dog J-Ball does video production and we do a few short films. Oh yeah, be on the look out for his project 'Life of the Party' which is a movie based in da MIA with sooo many bad beautiful females so check dat out." Well there you have it JRIPP is motivated and has the skills to become a very memorable artist and producer. Concerned with longevity and not with being a overnight success, RIPP understands the concept of hard work and is slowly but surely taking steps towards his goals. ALBUMS: From Out The Dark "Well I have completed an underground able called 'From Out The Dark' which I will have posted on MY SPACE. It got some love but I didn't really put it out hard because I felt like I was already making hotter shit. I'm a perfectionist I can't help it." WHATS NEXT?: "I just finished a mixtape called BOTTOM'S UP and nowI am currently working on my new album. It is going to be way more variety in the production and types of beats and styles I use. It will be a classic, even if just an underground classic." RIPP is the next generation of the artist/producer combo and plans to take it the next level. Just keep your eyes open, take your sleeping pills and no dose because RIPP is a phenom, and is on a mission to bring his style of rap and production to the masses, just listen and you will be greatly rewarded.Have you performed in front of an audience?I'm working on getting more performances, any promoters out there get at me. I love perfoming it actually feels like I leave this galaxy when I'm on stage I'm very energetic and I always put on a good show because I'm so in to it.
Your musical influences
Even though I'm from the South I was greatly influenced by the West Coast: Tupac, Snoop, Too Short, DJ Quik and my favorite rapper of all times E-40. I was also influenced by Outkast, Bone Thugs, Trick Daddy, JT Money, Nas, Field Mob, Goodie Mob, Mystikal and many many more.........What equipment do you use?
Well I have a PC with a AMD 64, I keep all of my sounds on my hard drive and control them with a Edirol PCR M80 through cubase sx3, Nuendo 3, Ableton Live or Reason 3. I got Tube MP pre-amp and a Samson condencer mic. I also got Samson Rubicon Monitors.Anything else?
