Josh Hill
His very personal and intimate lyrics, along with soothing melodies.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
It was at the brink of Josh Hill’s teens that he discovered his love for the guitar. As a quiet twelve year old, music turned out to be the perfect outlet for his creativity. Josh soon found friends that shared the same passion. As the years passed, this small group of growing musicians formed numerous bands, spanning multiple musical genres. These experiences honed in Josh’s musical direction to an acoustic sound. At the age of sixteen, he turned his attention away from working with others to create a new sound. Instead, he worked alone to find something that would be 100 percent “on his own”.
As a result in 2001 Josh released his first independent release entitled “No more words”. A six song EP witch sparked the beginning of Josh’s original sound. His very personal and intimate lyrics, along with soothing melodies, caught the attention of potential fans in his hometown.
In 2003 Josh worked with two up and coming local producers on a demo CD featuring three new songs “More at ease”, “Routine”, and” May 24th”. Different from the first CD Josh added a full band, which really took his songs to a new level, and completed his sound.
Now experiencing local success; Josh spends a lot of his nights playing shows across the area at many bars and venues. But he still enjoys stopping by the local coffee shop where he got his start. A different night of the week could mean a different type of show. Whether he is playing alone, or if he has other musicians playing with him, Josh Hill just enjoys being able to do what he loves; creating, recording, and promoting his original music to anyone who will listen.
