Deffenitely Jay Dee, one of the greats and will be truly missed. Another huge influence to me is RJD2, when I can't think of anything to make, just pop in some RJ and he'll get the creative juices flowing.
What equipment do you use?
Reason 2.5 and a cheap Radio Shack MIDI keyboard.
