"Make a dream tomorrow's reality", sings Boston-based singer-songwriter JR, offering a glimpse into his independent soul. I think that I write for the day, and make every detail a page in my life. JR's 2003 EP release Listen Loud brought great attention to Boston's local music scene, leading to gigs opening for Howie Day, Matt Nathanson, Damien Rice and more. JR's roots range from Jackson Brown to Matchbox 20. I like to think of myself as conceptual storyteller, in whatever form the story dictates, not branded as this or that.

Make a dream tomorrow's reality", sings Boston-based singer-songwriter JR, offering a glimpse into his independent soul. I think that I write for the day, and make every detail a page in my life. JR's 2003 EP release Listen Loud brought great attention to Boston's local music scene, leading to gigs opening for Howie Day, Matt Nathanson, Damien Rice and more. In 1999, JR went on to front a band called Even-Tide. They toured for a year playing the college circuit opening for such acts as Eddie Money and the Fools. At the end of 2000, JR relocated to San Diego California. Performing under the name Jon Robert as a solo acoustic pop act, he began to play the beach scene, coffee houses, clubs, and bars for a little under three years. After performing at some of San Diego's best-known venues, JR developed the confidence he was in search of. At twenty-five years old and with his rapidly growing fan base, he has returned to his hometown and is filling up local clubs and college campus venues all over the Northeast.
Jon Robert is currently in the process of recording his first full length album after two successful EP's.
In the last year he has been promoting, recording, and touring this new album with over 70 shows since March. He has recorded three new songs with top industry producer Ted Comerford (Virginia Coalition and Zox), mixing engineer Jeff Juliano (John Mayer, Lifehouse, and Dave Matthews Band) and mastering engineer Greg Calbi (Paul Simon, Bruce Springsteen and Lenny Kravitz just to name a few).
Randy Eisen from Degraw Entertainment has contacted Jon Robert and has asked him to tour with Joey Degraw on select Boston-New York shows with possibilities of also opening for his younger brother Gavin Degraw. They are in the process of arranging this tour now and the first show has already taken place at the Paradise Rock Club in Boston last January.
In addition, JR recently performed at the 2006 Atlantis Music Conference in Atlanta, GA. This was a great success and had a tremendous response. He was also offered to come back and open for the newly formed band Army of Anyone.
Furthermore, JR has recently been offered worldwide retail and online distribution through Halogen Records for the album upon release but has opted to not sign anything with anyone as of yet keeping his options open.
