Hi, i'm Jon Butler, and this is my soundclick page. The purpose of all this is to get my music out there to people like YOU! Please leave an opinion of the track(s), it means a lot to me, as I am unable to judge how good they are, because i wrote them. Just head on over to the message board and jot down a few comments.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Well I had been playing bass for 2 years, before getting bored and moving to guitar. I sold my bass to fund my martin, which was well worth it for me, and im now writing and recording what i've got on a Tascam digital recorder.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I do play live at open mic nights and gigs, whenever I can, I love playing my songs to people who really want to listen.
Your musical influences
Ok, I listen to everything, so everything influences me a bit, but the main ones have to be: John Mayer, Jack Johnson, Matchbox 20, Dave Matthews Band, Dashboard Confessional, and Vertical Horizon
What equipment do you use?
I recently got a Martin OMJM John Mayer Signature guitar, which has really boosted my songwriting and playing in general, partly because its so damn easy to play and partly becasue I play it so much :).
