Fili Omorfi (Schoene Freundin) Fili Omorfi (Schoene Freundin)
Solo piano version - a good-bye to a leaving friend, with wishes for a warm welcome at her destination.

Reve de roses Reve de roses
Impromptu live songwriting and recording with Katha. Pardon the atrocious pronunciation (hence, grammar screw-ups); not used either to speaking French or to playing guitar. Least of all simultaneously.

Last Dance (orchestral version) Last Dance (orchestral version)
Two orchestras, French horns, pizzicato and marcato strings, some more underlying strings, a music box, glockenspiel, and orchestra hit to accompany the piano. One might say I overdid it - you barely see the cake beneath the topping. Enjoy!

Last Dance piano version Last Dance piano version
The "Light" version of Last Dance, with most instruments either muted or turned down. The piano touches more 'lightly' to allow the vocals total lee. Full version under www.soundclick.com/sard!

I was always too lazy to sit down and learn reading score properly. Hence I play by hearing, which keeps me confined to the lower echelons of pianistry...
The music on this page is the result of on-the-fly recordings on a digital piano. It is riddled with errors, the recording quality sucks more often than not, and any real pianist will have a hard time wiping a smirk off his face. Well, so be it. That said, some of the melodies are quite nice.
Band/artist history
1984 - birth of a genius
2000 - realization that being a professional pianist, earning tons of money, having swooning women in evening dresses at my feet, and wearing tuxes every night is *not* my calling.
2004 - army service for the fatherland. Go me!
2005 - studies at law, Freiburg i.Br.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
I might play 'live', so to speak, whenever you plonk me down in front of a piano. But it's not that big a deal.
Your musical influences
I'd like to think that I have such a thing. The truth is that while I listen to a lot of diverse music, most of which is plain awesome, I may be a little too slow brain-power wise to incorporate anything of that into my music. So I go on tinkering on gutter level ;)
What equipment do you use?
Yamaha CLP-150; occasionally my old Yamaha PSR-640, but with the pitch-bend wheel broken off... results are always rather exciting.
Anything else?
Hello to all the Americans I know. I'd like to visit you more often, but alas...
