Walking on Sunday Walking on Sunday

The carousel The carousel
Happy and having a good time, people ride the carousel, while right beside them there is suffering that they just don't see, Hopefully the song paints a picture for the listener, I think the it's quite symbolic, at least that's how I meant it.

Sarah the maid Sarah the maid
A young miner is called up to fight in the first world war in 1915, just before he leaves, his friend calls to take him dancing with a young girl.....

Difficult to hear because it sounds like you're at the back end of a cave. But, if we're overlooking production issues, as we often must. Then it becomes a very nice and thought provoking ballad.
Nice sweet song. Hard working Emily for sure. Love the guitar. You also have a nice voice as well. ~ Judy ~
What a lovely, touching song all round....
It's good enough in my opinion to stand up there with the best of classic folk songs.

This track shows a huge degree of empathy. It's an extremely sad but lovely song, written and sung from the heart.
I can understand perfectly how you became inspired.
In admiration.
Carol.
I love the way the guitar picking imitates the carousel - brilliant. Vocals and recordings wonderful, as usual!
