The Day You Lost A Day The Day You Lost A Day

The first song we ever wrote. A powerful slow rock track, about memory loss and inebriation. Good times.

Welcome Break Welcome Break

'I love the feeling of sitting alone... alone among friends'. The vague romance of sitting alone in a public place at night, in our most ballad-like track.

Silence Isn't Golden Silence Isn't Golden

A fast-paced, upbeat, powerful tune, taken in a Jazz direction. Originally written about an English teacher in 2005.

Jazz Vocals

We have been writing and performing music together for just over a year now, having started as a two-piece cover band at college in South West England. Though we no longer live closely, we are still writing and performing together whenever possible. Our sound is a simple but effective mix of piano, drums and vocals.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
We have played open-air, to large audiences, usually as part of a music day or variety concert. We also play in small pubs and halls. It is the best thing about being in a band and we love every minute of it. We recently came 2nd in Livewire 1350AMs unsigned bands competition, which involved a live final. Many people have commented on the strength of our stage presence.
Your musical influences
We were originally the Ben Folds Duo, covering Ben Folds Five songs. This is where the main influence came from, though we take some of our songs into a jazz/swing direction, rather than standard piano rock. Two other obvious influences are Keane and Elton John.
What equipment do you use?
Depending on the venue, a portable PA system usually suffices. Recently we have been using an electric piano with a built in PA, and inputting an electric drum kit. The result is suprisingly effective.
