Johnny Girouard

Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Johnny's career began thirty years ago in the factory town of Leominster Massachusetts, with his first band, the Moondogs, covering the current hits of the British Invasion. He gradually evolved into an acoustic solo career playing major clubs and coffeehouses up and down the coast of New England. He honed his craft with audiences big and small while street singing in Europe. Upon returning to the States, he enjoyed success in various county rock and R'n'B bands opening for the likes of Carl Perkins, Livingston Taylor, Tom Rush, Hank Williams Jr., NRBQ, John Hall (of Orleans), Commander Cody, Bill Kirchen, Chip Taylor and Maria Muldaur. John's vast repertoire of over 500 songs includes many originals. His just released CD "Melancholy Daddio" is the man, the guitar and the songs which contain four originals and covers ranging from Dan Bern to Gus Kahn. His 1995 CD "This Modern World" is the full band and both can be ordered by calling 978-342-4654
