This page is not meant as professional page to present myself, rather to share ideas with fellow musicians. Uploaded songs are mostly practice and therefore do not mind a wrong note here and there.
Most of the duo stuff will be removed from here in the coming months and placed on a new site URL www.soundclick.com/johndierckxduorecordings.

Your musical influences
All the great jazz players, Miles Davis, Bill Evans, Wynton Marsalis and Jazz Guitarists especially Joe Pass, Herb Ellis, Barney Kessel, Klaus Flenter, Jimmy Bruno, Django Reinhardt, Stochelo Rosenberg.
Then again I have also learned an incredible amount from guitar players like Stev Vai and Joe Satriani, Prince and other fantastic soul, funk R&B and rock/metal players. Simply too many to mention all.
If anything, CARLOS SANTANA!!!! After hearing the Moonflower album foor the first times, I was sure of one thing. I would play either guitar or percussion. It tyrned out to be the last one.
What equipment do you use?
Aria Pro (jazz guitar), Ibanez Artist (semi accoustic), Ibanez SG (solid body), Yamaha Electric Acoustic Steel String, Canadian Brand Electric Acoustic classical guitar.
Old Sessionette and a Laney for the acoustic guitars and an old keyboard amp
Anything else?

Has anyone ever heard of Larry Coryell, Victor Bailey or Lenny White? Have you ever heard thier project together also known as CBW? Well its fantastic. They have released two albums, one known as Electric and the other is called Traffic. But my point in case this super star trio is playing the Blue Note on August 29th and 30th in NYC. I dont know about you but I'm veary much looking foward to this performance. For more info go to www.bluenotejazz.com/newyork/schedule/index.shtml or www.chesky.com
This is great stuff. Just listening to Don´t catch me. I didn´t know you would find guitar people today who are so into the Jazz-Genre. Scales, Style, ideas, improvisation.
If you don´t mind, I´ll add you to my station (The good stuff) and vote your music hot!
Thank you for sharing. This is excellent.
Interested in collabs?
What do you say?
Wow, you are a great player. I especially like your comping style.
You should check out the newsgroup REC.MUSIC.MAKERS.GUITAR.JAZZ, which is a great group of players, and a great discussion of jazz guitar and jazz in general.
I was listening to CJC Gentle rain, and thought to myself how it reminded me of a rain.
I was surprised to realize that the song title actually reflected the same idea that the song painted the picture of to me. Good congruence!
Nice job.
Rick
