John Encinio is a high energy, high profile performer. He always does his best to invigorate an audience with the fun and camaraderie he injects into his shows. Plenty of stories and humor - no filth. It is not uncommon for John Encinio and The Full House Band to receive many standing ovations and boisterous audience applause many times during an evening's performance. John Encinio and the Full House Band are a "must see" group at many of the most prestigious casinos, resorts, and rodeos in the Southwest - bar none.
Band/artist history
We got started in Pro-Rodeo in the early 80's and, while many musicians have come and gone, the band has always been "John Encinio and the Full House Band." We have played hundreds of rodeo performances, many dances, shows and concerts in casino lounges, showrooms, arenas, stadiums, and coliseums. This band is in the BUSINESS of music. For us this is NOT a hobby. This is how we make our living. We work very, very hard at what we do. While John Encinio is lots of fun on stage, he is always very disciplined making sure that we get where we are supposed to be. When anyone new comes into this band they have to certify that they will always be clean, sober, on time, prepared and professional.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Yes, we do play live and we love it. We have literally played thousands of performances all over the Southwest and the Intermountain West. If you would like to see us in your area just call the venue where you'd like to see us play. Tell them about us and this page. Then call us at 702-349-7392 and tell us where you'd like us to be. Tell us the name of your contact at the venue and we'll send them a promotional package. Special moments? Like singing our National Anthem at the 1999 National Finals Rodeo? Or at Nellis AFB, NV, for the "Operation Welcome Home Viet Nam Veterans Air Show"? Or opening the National Finals Rodeo for the past 13 years? Yup, those are very special moments.
Your musical influences
Our music is influenced by cowboys and cowgirls from Texas, New Mexico and the Southwest. So we feel the influence of Jimmy Rogers, Lefty Frizzell, Jim Reeves, Bob Wills, Merle Haggard, and George Strait. Our music combines the stylings of country, swing, Tex-Mex, blues and jazz chordings into our music.
What equipment do you use?
Mackie 1604 PA Board, Mackie 1400-I power amps, EV speaker columns and bass bins, Shure Microphones, Fender Guitars, Fender and Peavey amps, Ampeg Bass amps, Ludwig drums, and D'Addario Strings.
