John Cathey
I am a single solo artist. I also play in the band The Blind Swimmers.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
I have been playing for about four years and have always liked recording throughout those years. I hope to keep playing and writing and sharing my song with everyone.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Occasionally, but I'd like to alot more often. I just stay busy so I don't push the issue really.
Your musical influences
Bob Dylan, Neil Young, David Bowie, Brett Carson, Bob Marley, Jimi Hendrix, Ladytron, My Bloody Valentine, The Clash, The Ramones, etc.
What equipment do you use?
Alvarez and Kay Acoustic, and a handmade classical guitar, Gibson Hawk electric, and Danelectro electric. Marshall amp.
