Milan Pavan II Milan Pavan II
Milan attains to a nearly religious intensity in this, his second pavan from his set of six written for vihuela. It's played here on the lower courses of a Renaissance lute to reflect the character of the original instrument, and of the piece.

First three in Noad's "The Baroque Guitar" combined- Anon. except Minuet II, by Falkenhagen (changed key for latter). Demo of ornamentation. Tempo brisk, esp. for Sarabande, but makes nice da capo allegro.
