I am a solo artist from edinburgh, I have been fiddling about for a couple of years but only now have decent sounding kit. I have been listening to techno for coming on ten years I know what I like about music and what it should sound like -I think. I love all the oldies L.F.O, 808state, the orb etc these were the first tunes I heard when I got into going to raves 'n that, but more recently have moved towards bands like the chems, leftfield, lo-fi allstars etc. these bands have a great influence over the sound I Have at the moment but I also remain loyal to the old 4/4 beat which is heard so often.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
born: Edinburgh 1975
Schooling: Trinity Academy, Greenhall High School
Further Education: NC, HNC I.T. S/W Dev
Career: bummed about from job to job,
Reason for doing music: the early 90's were my playground got into techno and the rave scene and the rest is history. Right there and then I knew I wanted to make music. but its an expensive game setting up a bedroom studio and only a year ago it dawned on me that through going to college and buying a PC i actually had the start of a studio. Ok it was quite a while before i invested in any kit. I started of using making waves, the very first edition i thought it was great to begin with but after toying around with that and various other applications I realised if I wanted results which could be taken seriously I would have to buy some gear. and so here I am 2yrs on and I have finally got an ok setup. I am expecting to go out and buy more gear soon, I am currently without a proper master keyboard and control all my modules with a midi. This is fine but if I want to gig I need at least a nice syth to play.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
as yet no but i fully intend to try and gig in the clubs in edinburgh once i have a decent amount of suitable material together

What equipment do you use?
all i have at the moment Is my korg nx5r, korg ms2000, Roland D-20, Rfx1000, spirit fx8 mixer, a phat boy controller and a novation drumstation. as well as the midi keyboard and my Pc of course (PII 350, SBlive plat) and I'll be getting my paws on a roland 505 rhythm composer real soon.
