Hey guys! My name is Joe Bernier, and I play guitar in a band called The Rushmores. My friend Joe Batterman started writing all these songs, and I thought it was kinda cool, so I figured, "What the hell, I'll put up my songs, too." So yeah, these songs never made it to band practice in any of the bands I have been in, and some really mean a lot to me, and others are just for a laugh. So cheer up emo kids, this one's for you...
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
I wrote these songs over the course of maybe 3 days. They are all pretty shattily recorded, as I use the finest recording software that Windows 2000 allows me to (sound recorder).
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Chicago, Illinois. In my apartment, for no one else. I play drunken sing-alongs, and prefer barmitzvahs.
Your musical influences
Geez. Long story short, I wanted to play guitar because of Kurt Cobain, and I learned guitar because of Green Day. I wrote songs because of Weezer, and I still play because of passion.
What equipment do you use?
Sound Recorder, a microphone I got from Chris Feltman, and an acoustic guitar.
