Joe Quinn
I am a christian singer/song writer. Though I feel sometimes just like a scribe. God gives me a song and I write it down. I've had friends christian and secular who talk about the miracle of "getting" a song. Music as a whole is a gift of God. Good secular music brings us very close to a spiritual experience. As a christian writer close is not enough. I have a living relation with a living God and I want my songs to Him to reflect the awe and joy that I know in Him.
If you are searching for eternal life you can find it in Jesus Christ.
Rom 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
The Bible is reliable write me I'll tell you why.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
I became a christian in 1972 and started writing songs shortly after that. Those songs were in the form of written notes and mental melodies until about 2 years ago when after a long self teaching development I finally composed music that I could sing to.
If you can sing a song that you wrote I can probably help you get music for it.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I sing live to cd accompaniment by myself and others. I love it. I sang a duet with my daughter. A song about "The Lion the witch and the wardrobe" that I had written 25 years ago. I was nervous as anything. She was solid as a rock. The message of the song fit the message of the sermon so well that the pastor used it as a springboard to his thoughts. That has happened so many times I have lost count.
