Don't have many shows on my own but am playing with lots of other groups. Can now use the live dates link for new shows but use the news section to see who I am playing with. Doing lots of writing, but don't know when I will hit the studio. That's show business. Later, Joe.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I do play live engagements under my own name but, I do freelance for other bands. I play with the funk/rock band Joyslam and the Doors tribute Strange Days. I do play other instruments such as bass and violin which has given me the chance to play in a variety of settings across North America.
Your musical influences
My Dad was my first musical influence letting me try whatever instrument I could get my hands on. When I really got into guitar it was SRV, Hendrix and Clapton. Jazz studies at university introduced me to Wes, Coltrane and Miles. After school I learned to appreciate more of just about anything from the Beatles to ZZ Top.
What equipment do you use?
Until I get my big endorsement deal (this is being said with sarcasm), here is some of the things I use.
Electric Strings - .012 to .056
Acoustic Strings - Light Gauge
Picks - 2 mm for electric guitar
.96 mm for acoustic guitars
Thick glass slides worn on my middle finger.
