JMR
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
I've been playing since 1987. I've had many teachers and many bands growing up. There wasn't anyone else in my area playing the metal and jazz stuff. I started listening to Tony MacAlpine and Van Halen early on in my playing. They inspired me to be the best I could be at my instrument. There wasn't any competition until I started doing heavy gigging after graduation. I learned that there were many killer players in the Rochester NY area. I chose to study them and do my own thing.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Everywhere. I do the NAMM shows. I also play with many big acts.
Your musical influences
My main influences are 60, 70's R&B, Allan Holdsworth, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani,Greg Howe, Death,Megadeth, Metallica, Soulive, Jaco Pastorius, Victor Wooten, any thing that makes a sound.
