J Mark Kozma

My name is J Mark Kozma. I'm a guitarist/song writer. I deliver hard hitting Christian rock, blues, and progressive rock music, covering topics of love, depression, soul searching, and political frustration.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
I started playing guitar in 1969, when I was 11 years old. Through my school years in Doylestown PA, I was in many bands such as; Silver Turk, Iron Cross, and Devious Croll. I learned to play by watching other guitarist, and jamming with as many as I could. In 1980 I joined the USAF and started a band called WoodBridge Steel. This band enjoyed a lot of success for its short existence. After WoodBride Steel and the USAF, I didn't play guitar until I had a saving experience with Jesus Christ in August of 1990. I started playing and writing with a band called David Dancing. David Dancing was a very successful Christian band. We had the privilege of being the opening act for the nationally known Christian metal band, "Bride". David Dancing went through a few personnel changes from 90 to 97 before calling it quits. After about a year off, the band Messiah Messenger was born. Messiah Messenger played from 1998 to 2000. I've been playing now for well over 30 years and have been writing my own music and songs since 1990. My music is a combination of sounds from the great rock bands of the 70's that encompass rock, blues, and a touch of progressive rock. They cover such topics as love, depression, soul searching, and political frustration. It is my hope and prayer that you enjoy what you hear, and that your heart may be pricked by the love of Jesus.
