Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
1997 - Cornell Washington (Bethleham Slim)
and Joseph Young (Mindmatix) form
the group Battle Katz.
1998 - Robert Mitchell (Riff-Raff) joins Battle
Katz.
1999 - Kebrion Tyler (Sci-Key) joins Battle Katz.
2001 - The group name changes from Battle
Katz to Jivewater.
2002 - Jivewater begins recording for their first
debut album Tha Takeova.
2004 - Jivewater performs their first live show
at the Berkley Reunion (considered the
largest community reunion in south
Hampton Roads.)
2005 - Jivewater opens up Jivewater
Recording Studio In the south Norfolk
section of Chesapeake, Va.
2006 Jivewater completes their first debut
album and begins the mastering
process.
2007 - jivewater signs licensing agreement
with Snocap.
2007 Jivewaters debut album
ThaTakeova is released.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Yes, We have played at The berkley Reunion twice. The berkley Reunion is considered the largest comunity Reunion in Hampton Roads and yes we love performing live.
