What Makes Andy Jackson Such A Hero What Makes Andy Jackson Such A Hero
Jim is a 49 year old American Indian. He is Cherokee and lives in the mountains of Alabama.
Jim has been in music most of his life and has a very wide range of influences to his very unique style of music.Band/artist history
Jim was born on 24 Jan 1954. He was raised in the mountains of Alabama. His family consisted of five sisters and one brother. Along with his Mother and Father.
Today only Jim and two of his sisters remain of the children. His father crossed over in 1975, and his wonderful mother joined his father on 11 Feb 2003.
The two people who influenced Jim the most in music were his father and brother.
Jim, Sr. was very gifted musician and songwriter. He was formally educated in a number of schools in his life and performed Southern Gospel music with several Quartets.
Jims brother Terry was a very gifted singer and Trumpet Player and would likely have been involved with Jims music today had he not been killed in an auto accident in 1969.Have you performed in front of an audience?I play live as often as possible, though my committments to Civil Rights issues do not allow me to do so as often as I would like.
Your musical influences
I moved through the music genre from one place to another, Orchestra, stage band, gospel, country and now my own style of folk music. Music of all kinds have been my influence as well as artists from many different genre.
At one point I had my nusic in the Native American Genre, but decided that the genre did not reflect Native music as I feel it. So I moved on into the Indie world all together and headed into the Folk and country genre. I am preparing to start my second album. I will have the mp3 uploads ready as soon as the project is finished sometime this summer.

You got some good, deep tunes there brother! Just like beauty, I guess hero's and great men are formed in the eyes of the beholder.
Jim - Just listened to the "Andy Jackson" song. It's nice and got my vote, but I REALLY liked the other song. I wish you hadn't taken it off. My label liked it and you. Hope you're doing well. Maybe we could swap thoughts on some music some time. Would love that.Stay Well. Bob Copeland
