Jimmy Young has the distinction of appearing on stage with such greats as The Temptations, The O'Jays, Ben E. King (Stand By Me)The Stylistics and Sam Moore (Sam & Dave)to name a few.
In the late 80's he was introduced to producer, arranger Bob Gallo by his friend and mentor Ben E. King.
While working at Atlantic Records and CBS Records Bob has produced such greats as James Brown, Patti LaBelle, Solomon Burke, Ben E. King and The Nylons to name a few.
Jimmy Young and Bob Gallo began working as a team writing and recording in the late 80's.
In 1989, Canada's Blackeyed Prince Of Soul as he is known, first release on Freedom Records was the cover of Bad Company's "Can't Get Enough Of Your Love" which was charted nationwide.
His next release in 1990 was "Supernatural Thing" which became a dance club "FAV" in Canada, Europe and the USA.
He followed up with such releases as "Love Sweet Love"and "Two Lovers" which received excellent airplay on college and commercial radio.
Jimmy Young's busy schedule included appearances on Much Music's "Electric Circus" which is televised nationwide in Canada...
In 2001 his release of "Heartbreaker" an 18 track CD of original material on Lost Gold Records was well received by his fans and Radio, this CD is available at CD Baby.Com and at a Record store near you.
