Jimmy See (US)

I am Jimmy See. I have played guitar, and sang most of my life, never seriously, except a few church gigs. I love all kinds of music, literally. I played with several friends. I was married for many years, raising children, and let my music go in honor of that, I feel a very worthwhile trade! Now, I am on my own, the kids are all grown, or close enough, and I have lost my flippin mind! I lived in a dark depression for many years, seldom out of bed, due to a chronic pain illness. I have a lyric that says, "I had to loose the mind I had, before it drove me crazy." I have written some 45 or so songs over the last two years, and together they chronicle a slow return from the darkest depression, to the light of living again. Most unfortunate is, I have been only able to render recordings of the later few songs in this series. UPDATE 2012: I am playing more live now, and writing like a madman, laughing more than ever, and feeling better all the time. I will be posting newer songs right away, and hopefully some of the newest will be recorded soon. Remember, LAUGH OUT LOUD!!! o(^_^)o
Have you performed in front of an audience?
I do play live every chance. At Local Bluegrass Assoc meetings and jams, and a few local bars. I do a solo act so far, but have been discussing a partner to be an acoustic duo, because I love to play slide and lead in acoustic music. I am thinking about an acoustic duo, because we can play out readily, and then evolve into something more as we work together.
Your musical influences
All the 70's bands, as well as John Prine, Randy Newman, Eric Clapton, and many of the newer Songwriters as well.
What equipment do you use?
1986 Martin D-28, 2002 Martin D-28, 1982 Les Paul Custom, Silverburst. 2004 Fender American custom strat, with Tele-Deluxe Humbuckers, Butterscotch is her name. A few others, but these are my "main squeezes". I use two V-Amp Pro's and FCB-1010 Midi Pedal Controller, but, not much. Usually I use a 1972 Super Reverb, or 1975 Bassman 50, or one of the low wattage tube amps I have built or restored. Recording Equipment: Need some! Pa, 20 chan, 1200 watt.
