I started rapping in Durham North Carolina under the name Nonsense in the local rap crew Clique 147 (2002-3)....from there i just worked and worked and worked on elevating and becoming stronger on the microphone.....after a few years i moved from carolina to philly where i was able to start recording and mixing my own music.....i decided to make a mixtape (Virtuoso: Vol 1) for my senior project and it turned out better than i suspected....the response was great as well....so i said...screw it ima really try this shit out....from there i was able to broaden my spectum and now here i am....stronger and making much better music in Virtuoso: The Mixtape Vol. 2Have you performed in front of an audience?...ive performed at parties and ive done a few shows.....mostly just been working on elevating and making the music rather than performing them...but now that this second CD is finished im looking into a third CD
Your musical influences
I have always had great respect for all the greats.....Jay Z, Biggie, Pac etc...as well as VERY notable Eminem, Nas, Bone thugs, etc....but those that really urged me where the underground/mainstream type artists like Aesop Rock, Atmosphere, Talib Kweli, Mos Def, Jedi mind, and many many others....What equipment do you use?
I use a shitty 30 dollar dynamic microphone with a cheap pop filter BUT the reason my shit sounds half decent is the program i use...Magix Music Maker 10 Delux, it was a fluke by at best buy and it works wonders on my vocals....Anything else?
