Jimmy Conwell
A master lyricist, a soulful singer...
Jimmy Conwell was part of the Mirwood/Mira/Keyman set up.
Basically the names of Jackie Lee, Bob and Earl etc. were a talented bunch of studio guys
churning out their own brand of uptempo soul music.
Jimmy Conwell is also known as Richard Temple of 'That Beatin' Rhythm' fame.
He was also lead singer of the EXITS on KAPP, recorded for GEMINI, was a member of SMOKED SUGAR on
20TH CENTURY RECORDS and a prolific songwriter with Len Jewell Smith.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I travel to the U.K. yearly for the Northern Soul concerts. Its always a pleasure to perform for old school enthusiasts.
