Jillian Santella has been performing since she was 3 years old. She studied classical music, dance, and theater before deciding that singing music written by other people wasn't for her. Currently studying at Berklee College of Music, Jillian is continuing to reach out to people through her songs.

I started studying violin at about 3 years old, and dance lessons at the same time. I got into musical theater around 6, and focused on that all through high school. In high school, I attended the Nassau BOCES Cultural Arts center, where I was a musical theater major. In 9th or 10th grade, I bought my first guitar and started learning how to play my favorite songs and writing my own. By the time I graduated high school, I knew that my heart was in writing and singing my own songs. I decided to attend Berklee College of Music, and I am currently in my third year there, focusing on songwriting.Have you performed in front of an audience?I love playing live! Over this coming summer, I will be doing solo acoustic shows at home on Long Island, and in Boston.
One of my favorite moments was when my band, Apt. 19, was playing at a restaurant called Marra's last summer. We were finishing up, but were asked to stay late because a group of girls was on the way from a dance recital. We agreed, and when they got there, they were ready to party! Everyone was dancing and having a great time.

A little bit of everything... some favorites include The Beatles, The Beach Boys, Carole King, Tom Petty, Hanson, Sheryl Crow, The Black Crowes, The Counting Crows...Anything else?
