Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
jfx316 started out playing in bands in 1992. Nothing ground-breaking, just playing for fun. Soon, the bands dissolved but the need the perform grew. jfx316 started out as the four trackdrum machine demo "nothingman-the truth hurts ver. 3.5" (this was 1995, before Pearl Jam's "nothingman" song, by the way)Soon after, more tapes were produced. The qualitly of the music became better and better. (in my opinon) In 1997, nothingman turned into jfx316, and what started out as a four hour recording session is now turning into a live P.A.dj setup. Bent on starting his own genre (darkcore has been used in the past, but has been dropped in recent years)jfx316 is about testing the limits of the american genre. with edgy, dark tracks like dissociation and wordless, jfx is covering a part of the dayton music scene hardly touched by anyone in the area at the time. jfx has played with 44, morphic resonance, the woodfield sweets, the dead world witch cult, temple of misery, prado, walter ego, blindspot, the puritan death squad, lava cola, the jackalopes, infinite number of sounds, smokehouse grooves, ideidtrying to name a few. and with the CD "the ethics of human cloning",jfx is looking to put a dent in the stagnent local music scene. with the single "dissociation" and the "one man machine" EP, jfx has gone through every genre you can think off. music shouldn't be regulated. no "one style of music" that's the motto. this is the new punk rock. your music is now obsolete. things are about to get very ugly.......
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
dayton, oh. home to nothing. special moments? living.
