It's the only emcee wihtout a crew. I've been engineering tracks for about 10 years. Along the way I've written over 100 songs and have recorded almost half of that. I think Hiphop is bigger than people see it, and I'm ready to expand their vision!!
Band/artist history
I was rapping with my a friend from high school for a minute. We released one CD then stopped. That was around 99-2000. Since then I've worked with emcees from Harlem NY, Baton Rouge LA, Bakersfield and San Bernadino CA, and Greensville SC. I've recorded and produced a complete album for Mr Cherokee, and have compiled 4 CDs between the other artists. I've also completed two CDs by myself. They have never been exposed because I haven't left my hometown of Ridgecrest CA yet.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Nope. I live in a small town where there are a total of 20 Hipohop fans. We all get down at the park though!
Your musical influences
First it was KRS-ONE, then a Tribe Called Quest. Being out west, you couldn't avoid the gangstas. I was getting down with DPG and such, but Tupac was also big to me. But the East Coast held it's grip thru the underground. Wu-Tang, Heltah Skeltah, Black Moon, Smif-N-Wesson (Cocoa Bruvas), Artifacts, Camp Lo, Blackstar, Pharoah Monche, Lordz of the Underground, Cypress HIll, E-40, Spice 1, J-Zone, De La Soul, 7th Foulnation, Dre of course, Outkast, Busta Rhymes no doubt, Reggie Noble (Redman), can't forget Erick Sermon and all of Def Squad (Keith Murray, Cy Scott), Eminem, all of Rawkus Records, I mean, email me if that's not enough. Don't sleep on Blu either! Get at the Hiphop scholar.
