Jessamyn Orchard
I just want to play music, and that is difficult, but not impossible when I live in a very musically-oppressed area of the country. Please support local music, wherever you live...its the heart and soul of the future of art and the epitome of free expression. Pay a couple of bucks and go see a local band you haven't seen before. Show your love.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
I started playing guitar when I was 15...that was 5 years ago. I've been writing poetry since I was in 3rd grade...and some pretty depressing shit it has been. So anyway...now I still write depressing shit but the only difference is now I have some sort of concept of how to play 3 or 4 chords on the guitar...kinda.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I play live wherever people support local music. That is what it is all about. Local bands are where the heart of modern music is...end of story.
Your musical influences
the constant drama in my life and the life of all of my friends is pretty inspiring...my suck ass college inspires me a lot.
What equipment do you use?
I play a Seagull acoustic guitar and my God-given voice...which has been corrupted since the introduction of Camel Lights to my lungs and vocal cords.
Anything else?
Please listen to "Circles on Bikes" and tell me what you think. Chances are, if you're on here, you're probably a musician trying to get your own name out there. I love and accept criticism.
