I'm the former guitarist for the San Diego glamrock band "FOXY ROXX", as well as "CC" in the first Official Poison tribute band "POISON'd" and "ANGUS" in the AC/DC tribute Thunderstruck in San Diego and currently in the Las Vegas tribute "SIN CITY".
Band/artist history
I've been part of the San Diego music scene since 1988 with my first band Midway. We were the youngest band to play the clubs at that time. I later became rhythm guitarist for the metal band "Den Of Thieves" in 19991 and we were a regular local request for Rock 102.1 (now Rock 105.3) with our song "Stomping Grounds" as well as a big local draw.
I parted ways with the band (the usual differences) and hooked up with Glam Rockers "Foxy Roxx". Over the next 6 years we released 2 CD's: "Shake The Foundation" (which was considered one of the best underground Glam release of 1994-1995) and received rave reviews in Kerrang - U.K. (compared to Pretty Boy Floyd's first CD and got a better review than the current Black Sabbath release!! TRUE!), BURNN!! (Japan), Mega Rock (Germany), Babylon (Australia)..to name a few. Right after the first cd, we released the 100 home video "Shake The Foundation - The Home Video" that gave a hilarious insight to the band as well as 3 sneak preview songs from our next CD, live footage, rare early footage of the band as well as a tribute tto the bands late vocalist, Dennis Sinned, who passed away from cancer at 19. The band was also featured on 3 compilation CD's: Australia's "Babylon Magazine - Images of my Underworld", from L.A. "All That Glitters" and from Delinquent Records "The Pink & The Black" 2 CD set featuring Dee Snider's SMF's and the reunited Pretty Boy Floyd. The CD was even review in Spin magazine and Foxy Roxx was mentioned as one of the best tracks.
Touring kicked in after that and in 1998 we recorded "Mixed Up World", which sadly never saw a proper release but several promotional copies were made and now both CD are big sellers on Ebay(...too bad we don't get any money from that!) In 1997 as a side project we were performing incognito as "POISON"D", a full early 80's tribute to Poison! Rikki Rockett told us after seeing us it was being in a time warp! The entire band came to see us and had us go onstage with them in 2000 at L.A.'s Univeral Ampitheater to do "rock And Roll All Nite" with them in full costume. We also opened for Samantha 7 as well.
I've had the pleasure of opening for some of the biggest names in 80's Rock/Metal such as: Slaughter, Dokken, Great White, PBF, Ratt, Warrant, LA Guns, Tuff, Sebastian Bach, Ace Frehley, Peter Criss, Samantha 7 as well as performing KISS covers (in KISS makeup) for the KISs Reunion show in San Diego for Rock 105.3...to name a few...
I also have been able to share the stage with some of the best underground glam bands like Heart Throb Mob, Revl'on Red, Psycho Gypsy, the Guttersluts, Darling Died Suicide, Suicide Alley, Spiders and Snakes, The Loving Dead (now the Underground Rebels), Black Diamond...
I've been able to meet a ton of my heroes such as Gene Simmons, Ace Frehley, George Lynch, The Misfits, Elvira, Peter Frampton, Anthrax, Dimebag Darrell (RIP), Vinnie Paul, Craig Goldy, Gary Hoey, Slash, Zakk Wylde, CC DeVille, Poison, Kery King, Andy Summers, Paul Gilbert, Billy Sheehan, Michael Anthony, John Corabi, Bruce Kulick, Eric Singer, Tod Howarth, Ann Wilson...the list goes on.
I released my first solo CD "Disillusions of Grandeur" in June 2003. It was supposed to be just a 2 song demo but became a full cd of demo's. The quality varies as we were changing programs while recording. It also was my debut as a vocalist and sole songwriter. The CD had 4 songs played on several Internet stations, the most played being "Hereos"..my song for 9/11 as well as "Tell Me", "Sydney's Song" and "Porn Boy" (a true song) that was featured on the compilation "Sourpuss - The Glizinet Compilation".
In 2003, I was the 2nd guitarist for the classic rock band "Rain Of Kings (aka ROK) and did double duty in 2004 as Angus Young in the AC/DC tribute "Thunderstruck" (which we changed our name to "FlickOf The Switch"). I left that band and joined up as 2nd guitarist for the 80's hair band tribute "Way Cool Jr."
I am currently residing in Las Vegas and playing with the AC/DC Bon Scott-era tribute "Sin City".
