Jeremy Messersmith
Not much of a band... More a bored geek writing songs in his bedroom. Yep...
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
jeremy messersmith is a songwriter and musician. it would appear catchy and possibly even true to say that this musician is original in his songwriting and performances. it could also be said that he is eclectic and perfectly balanced in his musical influences. but really, everyone has a genre. taking on the ideals of minimalism, jeremy is tearing down the clutter in music and finding something organic.
after forming a band and producing a cd, after playing cover songs at sports bars and selling out artistic design for a paycheck, jeremy has simplified. with the lyrical content of john lennon, the sensation of elliot smith, and the invention of howie day, this musician offers songwriting in an undiluted form.
maintaining to the principles of unadulterated music, jeremy is currently in the process of producing an ep. this will include his most recently composed music stamped and wrapped in a brown paper bag. jeremy can also be heard on the pioneer press' audiophile's guide to the twin cities with the track "day job" that he recorded in his home studio. jeremy also produces music for local musicians and has toured with epic hero and some other regional bands.
