Oh my, how to narrow this down...I've been influenced by so many different artists in my lifetime. From being raised in a house with parents who listened to all-time greats like the Beatles, Jim Croce, Simon & Garfunkel, Cat Stevens, Billy Joel, Journey, and Chicago to name a few, to growing up in the 80s listening to artists like the Bangles, Madonna, Belinda Carlisle, U2, Aerosmith, Def Leppard, Poison, Bon Jovi, and so on, to my late teens "party" years of Smashing Pumpkins, Green Day, Nine Inch Nails, Pearl Jam, and Stone Temple Pilots (what a great alternative rock era), to my earlier female artistt influences of Sarah McLachlan, Jewel, Sheryl Crow, Indigo Girls, and Alanis Morissette, to finding the awesome singers and songwriters of country music in my mid to late 20s from whom I draw much of my current inspiration and of whom there are just far too many to mention!! Good heavens, I could go on and on...this doesn't even scratch the surface :)
MacBook, GarageBand, MXL 990 mic, Presonus USB Interface, Yamaha APX700L electric acoustic guitar, M-Audio MIDI, and Fostex monitors :)
Since I'm new to all of this, I'd really just love some honest feedback, good or bad. Music has always been a very personal thing for me, and everything I do comes from my soul. It's a huge step for me to not only finally have the tools to truly make my own music, but even more so to put it out there for the world to hear. I can only hope that how my music makes me feel translates in a positive way to others.
