All of the songs I have recorded so far have been done with two very talented musicians, Paul Tennison and Gene Fritts.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
We have played live at the Waring Steakhouse, The Watering Hole, The Arcadia Theatre, Texas State Arts and Crafts Fair, Schriener University, LaHacienda, HEB Camp, and of course at private functions. My personal favorite and most frequented place to perform live is at the Java Pump in Kerrville. Kristen Larranaga, who is the owner, always greets me with a warm embrace and a coffee mug with my name printed on it. The folks who hang out there are lots of fun, they sing along, hoot and holler at the end of every song, they are a truely good bunch of people. Special moments? Feedback from the microphone, that's always a real special moment.
Your musical influences
As a child, my parents got me hooked on "The Carpenters" album, the "Grease" soundtrack, and Anne Murray - So, Karen Carpenter, Olivia Newton John, and Anne Murray were some of my earliest influences. I have grown to appreciate many others - Kathy Mattea, Bonnie Rait, Reba McIntire, Lorrie Morgan, Alison Krauss, Patty Loveless, I could go on forever.
