Band/artist history
Jenna Wilson began singing as a child in church musicals and community theatrical productions. A Southern California native and classically trained dancer since age 4, she spent two years as a musical theater major at Cal State Fullerton before dropping out and moving to Los Angeles when she was cast in a cameo role in The Bacchae (a film version of the classical Greek play), produced by John Morrissey (American History X). Some of her TV appearances include Las Vegas, V.I.P, Angel, Wanda at Large, and Boston Public. She's also appeared in independent films, numerous plays, and at way too many parties. For over three years, she studied acting at the famed Beverly Hills Playhouse, where she also co-produced A Safe Place, a world-premiere play by Henry Jaglom. "Run Away" and "Try Again" were produced by grammy-nominated Robb Vallier at the Rumpus Room in Studio City, CA during the summer of 2003. Jenna's currently gigging everywhere she can and working on her Heartbreaker LP (due out on January 6, 2007) with the help of Gwenael Barre (who's worked with Marc Antoine, Andrae Crouch, and DJ Lethal from Limp Bizkit). Go to www.myspace.com/jenna for show dates, blogs, pics, and more!!!
Random Trivia: She's related to Wilson Pickett (Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee) and by marriage (no no no, her uncle's marriage) to Connie Briscoe (best-selling novelist). She also shares her birthday with filmmaker John Singleton and actor Rowan Atkinson.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
I've played all over Southern California. I actually come from a musical theater background, and my all-time favorite on-stage memory was during a production of "Aladdin" in an outdoor venue in San Bernardino, California, that held about 2,000 people. We're in the middle of a big musical number, and huge fireworks started going off this baseball field less than a block away. It was 4th of July! At first we thought bombs were going off and almost lost our place in the song, but after we realized there was no imminent danger we dove back into the number with more energy and vigor than ever before!
Your musical influences
Sade, Maxwell, Nine Inch Nails, Madonna, Hole, Portishead.
What equipment do you use?
Anything I can get my hands on.
Anything else?
yeah, plenty.

Jenna you got some good songs. The vocals are ok. They could show a bit more emotion I think. I like the production on the songs. The lyrics are good in each of the songs. You harmonize well also, that is good. Nice stuff.
Please check out my latest songs "What Am I Gonna Do Now?" and "It Hurts"
Jenna I truly love I Needed You. It's the same way I feel at times. The words have so much meaning. I have a serious connection with the song. Love ya! Keep doing your thing! I'm proud of you and I have faith that you will go far.
