I grew up around guitars, but I didn't start learning to play until I was 19 [self taught]. I've sung all my life, and probably will continue to do so forever. I've only written songs for a few years.Have you performed in front of an audience?I DID IT, I actually forced myself to play at an open mic night [at Durty Nellies - Palatine, IL]. After I got over my nerves it was actually pretty cool. And I didn't forget my chords [I said that I would]. I didn't play anything of my own, though -- only covers. I am too shy about my own stuff.
Your musical influences
My musical influences are indescribable [anything and everything], but Michelle Branch and Jewel are probably somewhat comparable artists.What equipment do you use?
My sad little Ovation guitar that deserves a much better player than I am. And now a Washburn, as well.Anything else?
